Bilbao defeat Neptunas in Lithuania: Pantzar and scandinavians excells
Melwin Pantzar led the way for Bilbao Basket as they secured a win against Neptunas Klapeida in Lithuania, Wednesday night. The swede had a strong impact on booth ends of the floor, finishing with 14 points, six assists, three steals and also grabbing eight rebounds.
With a finalscore of 66-74, the Spanish side are now heavy favorites to advance to the next round of Europe cup.
Kullamae puts up big numbers, Frey gets his first points
The Nordic trio of Pantzar, Kullamae (13 p. 5 r. 4 a.) and Hlinason (9 p, 3 r. 3a) finished as the three best scores for the away side. New addition, Norwegian guard Harald Frey (5, 2 and 3) got his first minutes in a competitive game, since leaving Bundesliga side Bonn. Experienced winger and Slovenian international Zoran Dragic also made his debut for the Spannish side.
For the home team it was new signing Zane Waterman who led the team in scoring, finishing the game with 13 points. The next game will be played in Bilbao tomorrow.
