Chris Pauls new French connection – leads to spectacular Wemby dunks

He also got some minutes along side veteran point guard Chris Paul. The duo showed signs of good chemistry and combined for 16 points. Paul found Wembanywama on several occasions, one resulting in a spectacular aley oop dunk.
“Being on the court with him certainly feels like he’s got things under control”, said the young Frenchman postgame. “It’s another team mate I can rely on in tough moments.”
Coach Popvich was cautiously positive about his teams performance. Most satisfied with the Spurs defensive effort.
“We were more physical and more aggressive on defense. The physicality was good and that was one of the goals for tonight,” but had few words for the pairing of Wemby and Paul. “They got some minutes together, so that’s good”
